LEAKAGE INDUCTIVE REACTANCES OF STATOR WINDING OF INDUCTION MOTORS WITH ASYMMETRIC MAGNETIC CIRCUIT

Abstract:
We have examined stator winding leakage field pattern of motor with asymmetry of core magnetic circuit in axial direction. New motor design has revealed leakage flux component associated with displacement of tooth tips of adjacent phase bands of different core halves in tangential direction towards each other and with overlapping. We have proposed measures to reduce this component value. We have developed a method to calculate leakage conductance for complicated geometry of slotted stator area. We have taken into account stronger mutual inductive coupling of windings across slot leakage field, which is specific for double-rowed concentrated windings with pitch factor 1/3. We have experimentally estimated this method.
