UNIVERSAL PID CONTROLLER WITH A VARIABLE INTEGRAL TIME CONSTANT

Abstract:
In the paper a technique for varying the PID integral time constant aimed at improving the control performance for both start-up, programme control and fixed set-point control together with respective tuning rules is described. The presented controller is an actual one, i.e. its output is subjected to constraints. The suggested settings are independent of set-point. The exemplified test results lend support to the technique having been developed.
