Abstract:
The paper discusses the possibility of using Petri networks for the development of simulation models and the control of an industrial process. Models were produced by the software package HPSim, based on the actual miniature experimental flexible manufacturing system located at the Institute of Automated Manufacturing Systems of the Technical University of Szczecin. The aim of the simulation has been to develop an optimum program for the control of the transportation system.
