THE NEW GENERATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL LABORATORY EQUIPMENT IN ELECIRICAL ENGINEERING AND ELECTROMECHANICS

Abstract:
The new Hi-Tech modular educational laboratory complexes are designed to teach electrical engineering, power electronics, electrical machines and drives etc. at universities and polytechnics. Overall there are about 80 specially designed functional modules - analogs of real devices and installations which consist the hardware of the laboratory complexes. DC and AC electrical machines, 3-phase transformers, electrical loads of different kind, regulated power sources, meters of electrical and mechanical quantities, as well as personal computer fitted with data acquisition board are among these modules. The software includes a large number of applications in form of different virtual instruments for measurements, oscilloscoping and control. Also the written instructions regarding many basic experiments are provided. The virtues of the laboratory complexes are flexibility, illustrativeness of the experimental results, high reliability, safety and modern design.
