Abstract:
An IT-type ship's electric network features reactance leakages that can be compensated for specific purposes only, such as protection against electric-shock hazard, and not totally eliminated. To get trustworthy analysis results the IT network should be regarded as an electric power complex with incomplete information. The ergotic control system for an electric power complex with an operator as superior control element enables a system for ship's safety management to be developed.

Key Words: insulated networks; earth currents; compensation of leakage currents
