THREE-PHASE PWM RECTIFIER WITH PARALLEL ACTIVE POWER FILTER

Abstract:
The simulation model of the parallel active filter in the open system controlled in accordance with the theory of the instantaneous power, and cooperating with three-phase impulse inverter made from fully controlled elements, and controlled by the algorithm of trapezoid modulation were presented in this article. The block structure of performed model and functions of each block were described. The PLL (Phase Locked Loop) in the active filter controller system was responsible for conditioning of the power voltage phase angle, like in the physical system. The designed model is set for tests of different structures of compensation and filtering systems (CFS) in applications with PWM rectifier. During performed tests the emphasis was put on the elimination of the higher harmonics from the source current waveform, moreover the efficiency of regulation and stabilization of the filter capacitor voltage were tested. The simulation model and performed preliminary tests, which verify the designed system, were done by means of the TCAD 6.2 Plus simulation packet.
