MULTILEVEL MODEL OF THE AC COMMUTATOR MOTORS

Abstract:
One phase supplied AC commutator motors are widely used in consummer devices, hand tools and other applications where only one phase source is available or/and motor shaft speed exeeding 3000 rev/min is preferable. Reliability of their operation highly depends upon often transients and they are to meet EMC requirements. To study this phenomenas, an algorithm and multilevel motor model have been developed. The model includes electromagnetic and mechanical dynamic processes, transients in the commutating armature coils and sliding contacts high frequency emmission. Some calculation results are represented.
