SELECTED PROBLEMS RELATED TO CALCULATIONS OF LOCAL LIGHTING LUMINAIRES WITH A CIRCULAR FLUORESCENT LAMP

Abstract:
Circular florescent lamps are very interesting light sources when we consider their possible applications in local lightning luminaires. They are characterised by large luminous flux when compared with their size. Till recently, they have been used solely in simple luminaires, not equipped with reflectors or equipped only with the diffusive ones. The study aimed at presenting the calculation problems, which are encountered while attempting to design local lightning luminaires with circular florescent lamps. This especially concerns calculation of the luminous intensity curve for a circular light source and illuminance distribution on the working area. Theoretic calculations were then verified against measurement results.
