LOW-PASS BESSEL FILTERS WITH VARYING PARAMETERS

Abstract:
Introducing varying in time parameters is a new aspect of electrical filters designing. The aim of this procedure is the shortening of the settling time of the filter output signal. The low-pass Bessel filters are very interesting since they are suitable for transmission of rectangular signals. This paper presents the concept of introduction of time varying coefficients in Bessel filters and the results of simulation tests in Matlab. This concept assumes that the functions of characteristic frequency w0i and time constant T are the same in all links of the filter structure.
