HEAT MODELS OF LINEAR INDUCTION MOTORS

Abstract:
The paper reports the dynamic thermal model of the linear induction motor based on equivalent thermal circuits. In contrast of the known and early investigated thermal equivalent circuits of the rotating motors the suggested model features up to a pole pitch detailing along the longitude co-ordinate and takes into account the heat carrying out from the active zone by means of the moving secondary. The paper presents as well the influence of the secondary movement speed on the heating of the inductor and the secondary parts of the linear induction motor SL-5-100, produced in Poland.
